Meet Dr. Kristen J. Kaufman, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Kristen Kaufman is a highly experienced audiologist dedicated to improving the hearing health and quality of life of her patients. A lifelong resident of Sioux Falls, Dr. Kaufman combines decades of professional experience with compassionate, personalized care for individuals of all ages.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Augustana College in 1988, followed by her Master’s Degree in Audiology from Idaho State University in 1990. In 2005, she completed her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from Salus University’s Pennsylvania College of Optometry and School of Audiology.

Dr. Kaufman began her professional career with Ear, Nose and Throat, PC, which later became Midwest Ear, Nose, and Throat in Sioux Falls, where she provided comprehensive audiology care beginning in 1990.

She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), a licensed Audiologist in the State of South Dakota, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA)—reflecting her commitment to the highest standards in hearing healthcare.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Kaufman enjoys spending time with her husband, Keith, and their two daughters. Her roots in the community and long-standing dedication to patient-centered care make her a valued part of the Audiology Specialty Clinic team.
